Launched in 1997 by Sonja Hillgren, former Farm Journal Editor and National Press Club president, the Forum has a distinguished history of convening a diverse audience of farmers, policymakers, industry leaders, academics, non-profit representatives and other stakeholders involved in shaping the future of food and agriculture. The goal of the 17th Forum is to offer intelligent discussion and insight relative to critical food and farming issues and, through that discussion, to foster education and more enlightened decisions on the future of agricultural policy, national trends, innovation and markets, both domestic and abroad.
