Your Seat at the Table is a Farm Journal Foundation interactive conversation encouraging everyone to play a more active role in ensuring a food and nutritionally secure future.
- Farm Journal Foundation piloted the first event in spring 2015 at Harvard University in partnership with the new Farming Agriculture and Rural Matters Professional Interest Council at the famous John F. Kennedy School of Government.
- Entitled “What are the Real Barriers to Feeding People, from the Viewpoint of Real Farmers: An Honest Conversation,” the event followed these students’ first trips to farms in the Midwest and featured their impressions of farming operations while connecting agriculture as a nutrition security solution for their peers in Cambridge.
- The on-campus discussion featured two farmers, famous agribusiness personality Dr. Ray Goldberg, and two graduate candidates in public policy.
